The International Investment Office works with governments, regions, communities and investors. We write territorial development strategies, find investors for projects and projects for investors. Our office is in Lviv; we work across Ukraine and with partners in Europe.
President
Roman Matys
Roman has worked in investment attraction and economic development strategy for more than 25 years. In 2016–2021 he headed the Investment Policy Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
He wrote the Lviv Region — Factory of Europe strategy and implemented it with a team he built from scratch. Over that period the region received almost $1 bn of foreign direct investment and 75,000 jobs.
Founder and organiser of the International Economic Forum in Lviv, held every year since 2016. A regular speaker at the Economic Forum in Karpacz, Poland: in September 2026 he spoke on a panel about investment planning in local government. In 2019 NV weekly named him one of the 30 most influential people in Lviv.
Education: Lviv University of Trade and Economics, economics (2000); University of Business and Law, international relations (2020). Working languages: Ukrainian, English, Polish.

Andriana Matys
Andriana is responsible for project management, delivery control and communication with clients and partners.
Clients agree timelines, milestones and reporting with her. She makes sure that work on a strategy or an investor search runs to plan and that every party knows what is happening.

International Economic Forum
An annual economic forum in Lviv founded and run by Roman Matys. It brings together business, government, communities and investors from Ukraine and Europe.
For our clients the forum is one more place to present a project to investors in person.
